This is the first copy, it later changed to include things like the place of death.

Taken from the Ten Year report:

Cuyahoga County Coroner Elizabeth Balraj determined the dreadful facts, with more details filled in from subsequent examination by FBI scientists. Amy had been deceased for some time. Most likely, the murder had occurred shortly after her abduction, probably a few days or less. She was not killed immediately: Amy had eaten at least one meal after she was taken, maybe more. Her death was brutal but quick. She had been forcefully struck onthe head, then stabbed twice in the neck.

Why are there empty spaces at the bottom of the page? If the coroner said she was struck on the head first shouldn't that be listed also?

Because, being hit on the head is not the cause of death. It may have knocked her out but did not ultimately lead to her death. However, any bruises would have been noted in the coroners report. A death certificate needs the cause of death, not everything that lead up to it (unless it was a chronic disease).

Why would they cremate her remains if this is an unsolved homicide case? Why would Amy leave her bike at school? That's out of character for a kid. I've read so many different versions of this mystery but I have to wonder are they absolutely positive she was at the shopping plaza? Could she have been taken from school?

Stacy I really have no idea why they cremated her remains. That may have been a family issue. It was said she was going with this person to buy a gift for her mother so I imagine one of two things, either she was told to leave the bike there by the murderer or that person had no idea she rode her bike that day. It's my opinion that she was told to leave it there and they would drop her off at the school when they finished shopping so she could ride home and no one would know she had gone shopping with a stranger except for the people she told in confidence.
They are absolutely sure she was at the shopping center as Amy was seen by several people.
It's again my opinion that she didn't leave from in the parking lot but rather thru the back door of the bowling alley. That would account for why she wasn't seen leaving and the fact that she was seen on the phone, because there was a phone at the grocery store in the back and across from the bowling ally back door. It was also said that a classmate was in the store and saw Amy on that phone standing beside a man. How much of that is true I can't begin to tell you.

Thanks for your interest!
